Tasty Christmas Cookies

Christmas cookies have become a tradition in almost every family. We all love cookies on any occasion and Christmas day seems to be the best excuse for us to have plenty without concerning ourselves with calories and weight. Nowadays people use cookies to give for St. Nicolas, to snack when watching their favorite Christmas movie or just as a decorative means for tables and table ends. A great variety of Christmas cookies are to be found ready-made in stores and restaurants, but it's always nice to have your own batch of home made cookies, ready to satisfy your personal pleasure. It's usually accustomed to decorate cookies with various patterns while baking them and you can get all creative at this point and gradually learn how to make some Christmas cookies that are unique and original.

Stained Glass Snacks

On Christmas you can choose to make some stained glass Christmas cookies, as they will look wonderful when displayed on the table and they taste incredibly great. You will need some cookie dough that you can buy ready made. Once you have some, roll it until you achieve the thickness you want and start cutting from it cookie shapes. You don't have to follow a pattern, you can make any shapes you want. Place on a counter some aluminum foil and put on it the cookies. Then remove their dough filling and leave just an inch margin for each one. Fill the gaps in the middle of each cookie with some ground lifesavers and your Christmas cookies are now ready to get baked. Once the baking begun, check on them regularly so they won't get burned. When you see the dough has become a light brown color, you can get your stained glass Christmas cookies out of the oven, as they are ready to be served.

Chocolate Cookies

Bake your own cookies by any recipe you prefer or buy some simple Christmas cookies from the store. Then, place a bowl with chocolate on fire and leave it there until the chocolate melts into a semi-fluid. Take each and every cookie and dip it into the bowl to add a delicious chocolate covering. If you want to make them even funkier, buy some chopped nuts some small colorful bonbons or some coconut dust and decorate the cookies using your imagination. But be quick, as you have to add the decorative items before the chocolate covering dries off. This is an easy and inexpensive way to get a Christmas cookie out of any regular cookie, and no matter what your decorative choices would be, the result is bound to be delicious.
